Ampersand Productions

Ampersand was born out of a desire to approach production differently.

After years of working for bigger clients we found ourselves with the occasional opportunity to take on smaller projects that we cared deeply about but didn't fit the economics of the big production house model. Part co-op, part barn-raising, we created Ampersand to be the nimble and responsive boutique production company that would allow us to give our clients the production value and hand-crafted feel we love.

Meeting with the Writer

Yesterday we met with the Willamette Writers Script to Screen contest winner Jon Dragt. It was amazing to get to know the man behind the script! We were able to pick his brain about story elements, themes, character, and the practical logistics of producing the short film. This year’s project is already off to a great start!

On April 7th, the Willamette Writers announced Jon Dragt’s script UNWELCOME GUESTS as the winner of their annual Script to Screen contest! This is the third year that we’ve partnered with the Willamette Writers and we here at Ampersand Productions are excited to get to work bringing Jon’s script to life! Over the course of the next few weeks we will be posting production updates here on our website. Make sure to check back periodically to keep up to date on the progress of UNWELCOME GUESTS!

Ampersand Shout Out on SEOWiSE

A huge thanks to John Ellis and Paul Gerald for the shout out on SEOWiSE! We recently produced a video for Paul Gerald's awesome Indiegogo campaign for his new book Breakfast in Bridgetown. See them talk about Ampersand Productions and the video (around the 20 min mark) but make sure to watch the whole video for some great SEO tips and info on Paul Gerald's projects!

AmpersandPDX Loves Breakfast!

Ampersand recently got together with our good friend, author Paul Gerald, to produce a video to help promote his just launched Indiegogo campaign.

We've loved Paul's books on hiking and Portland for years and are really grateful he asked us to collaborate with him on this short video.

So pitch in if you can (we are!), share the love and tell your friends. Let's help Paul self publish his exploration of the best Portland has to offer!
